“I Don’t Know Jack”

The Lord ask me this question last wednesday night at prayer, “What do you think of your intellect?”. Then he said ask Me what i think of it. I was immediately humbled by this question. I find myself on a daily basis getting wrapped up in all these things i want to do when i get out of pharmacy school. I want to buy a certain type of car and live in this nice house and just enjoy all the things that i worked so hard to get. The Lord is constantly reminding me that it’s not about all those things, its about seeking first his kingdom and his righteousness and all those other things will be added unto me.

The Lord has blessed me with a great intellectual capacity and i must be careful and guard my mind and heart from becoming selfish and desiring anything other than Him. Although those things in themselves are not bad, most of the time I find myself thinking about those things more than i think about my Creator. The Lord didn’t give me my intellect, in fact it’s not mine it’s his, so i can drive a nice car or live in a big fancy house. He gave it to me so i can reach my generation and show them Jesus. It’s not about me inventing a new drug or making a name for myself, It’s about his name being lifted up and being made famous in the earth. So for this reason I must constantly have my eyes set on him.

Psa 27:4 I have asked one thing from the LORD. This I will seek: to remain in the LORD’S house all the days of my life in order to gaze at the LORD’S beauty and to search for an answer in his temple.

The Lord doesn’t need my intellect or what i think i know, he justs simply needs me to seek his face with a humble heart.
